The 5th International Conference on Solid State Science and Technology (ICSSST 2015) is an annual conference envisioned as a platform for knowledge sharing. This conference is the ideal event to keep up with the current progress in research and development of solid state science and related areas. It offers opportunities of networking and interaction with local and international experts, scientists and researchers in the field, both from academia as well as from industries. The 5th ICSSST will be held in the beautiful lush tropical island of Langkawi, Malaysia, on 13th to 15th Disember 2015. Prospective authors are invited to submit original technical papers for presentation at the conference and publication in the conference proceeding.

Regional Conference on Solid State Science and Technology (RCSSST) is an annual conference that is organised by Malaysian Solid State Science and Technology Society (MASS) with a university research centre. The 28th since its first conception, RCSSST 2014 will be jointly organised by Universiti Teknologi MARA (Pahang) and MASS.
This annual conference of solid-state science and technology is one of main activities done by MASS to foster networking and interaction among scientists, academics, researchers and engineers, as well as exchanging information of the breakthrough in the field of solid state science and technology. The main aim of this conference is to provide a platform for discussion on all aspects of solid-state science and technology including its physical and chemical properties, methods of preparation and characterization, optical properties, as well as the structure of the macro, micro and nano.
The 27th Regional Conference of Solid State Science and Technology (RCSSST27) 2013 will be held on 20-22 December 2013 at Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia, with the conference theme “Solid State Science & Technology: Towards Immersive Breakthrough”.

Scanning probe microscopy (SPM) covers several related technologies for imaging and SPM measuring surfaces on a fine scale, down to the level of molecules and groups of atoms. SPM machine also can be utilized for lithographic technique, known as Scanning Probe Lithography (SPL), in which a microscopic or nanoscopic stylus is moved mechanically across a surface to form a pattern. SPL is capable of patterning sub-30nm features with nanometer-scale alignment registration. It is a relatively simple, inexpensive, reliable method for patterning nanometer-scale features on various substrates.
